Jon Elron, Managing Director, Voxhill

Jon Elron

Managing Partner

Jon’s experience is a mix of startup founder, M&A, and strategy consulting, which allowed him to experience M&A from multiple perspectives. He co-founded 2ndKitchen with Nick and was the company COO until it was sold. The process of selling 2ndKitchen as founders was invaluable and helped round his M&A experience further to gain the complete perspective from the seller’s side. Prior to that, his experience was in M&A as Director of Corp Dev at EFI where he led end-to-end M&A deals helping the company expand its software product offerings to new verticals, gaining the important perspective of a strategic acquirer. Jon has also worked on strategy consulting at L.E.K. where he helped Private Equity firms with M&A, growth strategy, go-to-market strategy.

We created Voxhill because we needed a service like this when we were thinking of exiting our last startup.

In 2020, our startup 2ndKitchen was hit hard by the pandemic, and we took the strategic decision to work on an exit strategy in parallel to fundraising.

Since fundraising took the majority of our time, and despite having a professional background more versed in M&A, we looked for help. We soon realized that there is none to be found.

Investment banks and M&A advisory firms only help if the expected deal is in the at least 10s of millions, and the other option is brokers that don’t do much aside from listing the business and that only works if the company is profitable. Luckily we had our previous professional experience to rely on, so one we decided to focus more on the M&A route we managed to power through and achieve a positive outcome for our company, our employees, and our investors. This experience inspired us to start Voxhill to help other founders to navigate and prepare in order to ensure an optimal outcome for all of their hard work.
